Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 50 years old.
- You have diabetes and a diabetic foot ulcer.
- You take diabetes medication (pills or insulin), or your fasting blood sugar is high (126 mg/dl or more) on two tests.
- You do not have serious kidney, liver, or lung disease.
- You have not had a heart attack or known heart disease.
- You do not have heart failure (ejection fraction less than 45%).
