  • You have one trigger finger that did not get better with nonsurgical treatments like splinting or exercise.
  • You have one trigger finger that came back after trying nonsurgical treatments.
  • You do not have a stiff finger or hand before the triggering started.
  • You do not have osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.
  • You are not having another surgery at the same time as the trigger finger release.
