- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a lung nodule smaller than 30 mm (about 1.2 inches) found on a CT scan.
- You are willing to give written permission for the procedure.
- You are not on blood thinners that cannot be stopped for the biopsy.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder, serious heart or lung disease, or allergies to common sedation drugs.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or needing a re-biopsy for genetic testing of known lung cancer.
