Who can take part

  • You must have type 2 diabetes.
  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You cannot be pregnant.
  • You cannot have cancer, an autoimmune disease, chronic kidney disease, or gout.
  • You cannot take certain medicines like furosemide, thiazide, aspirin, losartan, or cholesterol-lowering drugs.
