Who can take part

  • You must be 20 years or older.
  • You need to be in fairly good daily health (ECOG score of 0 or 1), meaning you can take care of yourself and are up and about.
  • Your blood counts must be within certain ranges, including enough white blood cells, platelets, and hemoglobin.
  • If you are a woman who could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to use birth control.
  • You cannot have active infections, severe esophageal blockage, or have had a stent placed in your esophagus.
  • You must not have other active cancers or certain medical conditions like brain metastases.
