Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have stage II to IVb esophageal cancer (if stage IVb, the cancer has spread to only a few spots, and your doctor thinks you can get full-dose chemoradiation).
- You are currently getting or have already received chemotherapy before starting chemoradiation.
- You are well enough to be up and about at least half the day (ECOG performance status 0-2).
- Your blood counts and kidney and liver function are within safe limits as per recent tests.
- If you are able to become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control during treatment.
