Who can take part
- You must have stage IIIB, IIIC, or IV non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery or treated with chemo and radiation.
- Your cancer cells must test positive for PD-L1 in at least half of the cells (PD-L1 TPS 50% or higher).
- You cannot have had prior systemic treatment for advanced lung cancer, including prior immunotherapy like pembrolizumab.
- You cannot have active brain metastases, though treated or very small inactive brain spots may be okay.
- You cannot have certain lung conditions like interstitial lung disease or a lung diffusing capacity below 50% of predicted.
- You must be willing to have measurable tumors as seen on scans per standard guidelines.
