Who can take part
- You are over 50 years old
- Your prostate is larger than about 80 ml (roughly the size of a small orange)
- You have tried medication for your enlarged prostate but it did not help enough (or you could not take it)
- You have moderate to severe urinary symptoms (score over 15 on the IPSS test) or need a catheter
- You do not have an active bladder infection, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, or a narrow urethra
