Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have type 1 or type 2 diabetes.
- You have chronic kidney disease stage 3b, 4, or 5 (eGFR below 45).
- You are not currently on dialysis.
- You are not allergic to fluorescein (the dye used in the test).
- You have not had fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or dehydration in the last 48 hours, and have not changed your medications in the last week.
