This study tests whether advanced eye imaging can predict how diabetic eye disease (retinopathy) may worsen over time. If you have type 2 diabetes and early to moderate diabetic retinopathy without swelling in the central part of the retina, you may be able to join.

Who can take part
- You are 40 to 80 years old.
- You have type 2 diabetes and are being seen at Peking University Third Hospital's endocrinology department.
- You have mild to moderately severe diabetic retinopathy (non-proliferative) without swelling in the center of your retina.
- You are willing to sign a consent form and attend follow-up visits for 3 years.
- You do not have certain eye conditions like active infection, severe dry eye, or recent eye surgery.
- You do not have a serious blood disorder, thyroid condition, autoimmune disease, or cancer.
