  • Age 50 to 85 years old
  • Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and have had a good response to L-dopa
  • Take an immediate-release form of L-dopa at a stable dose for at least 2 months
  • Able to swallow a large capsule (about 1 inch long) while in the OFF state
  • No history of dementia, swallowing problems, or recent antibiotic use
