  • You were first told you have type 2 diabetes less than 10 years ago.
  • You are between 40 and 65 years old.
  • You do not have serious diabetes complications like kidney failure, past heart attack, eye or nerve damage, or foot ulcers.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are able to give written permission to join the study.
