Who can take part
- You are at least 21 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with extensive or marked intestinal metaplasia or dysplasia (precancerous stomach cell changes) confirmed by biopsy.
- You do not have active stomach cancer.
- You are not pregnant.
- You do not have severe kidney or liver problems.
- You do not have a bleeding disorder or take blood thinners that would make biopsies risky.
- You do not have certain sugar digestion issues (fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency).
- You do not have chronic bowel disease or another serious medical or psychiatric condition that could interfere with the study.
