  • Body mass index (BMI) less than 28
  • Surgery expected to last under 3 hours while lying on your side
  • General health classified as ASA I, II, or III (generally healthy to mild disease)
  • No history of difficulty with breathing tubes or airway problems
  • Able to understand and sign a consent form
