Testing a method to reduce pain after lung cancer surgery

Who can take part

  • You are having keyhole surgery to remove lung cancer, and the same surgeons will do all the procedures.
  • You are 18 or older, and you can talk with the study team and follow instructions.
  • Your physical health is generally good (ASA class I–III).
  • You can hear normally and have not been in another clinical trial in the last 2 months.
  • You have not had chest surgery before, and you don't have chronic pain or take pain medicine in the 48 hours before surgery.
  • You have no history of mental illness, hearing problems, or ear issues that would make it hard to wear headphones.
