Who can take part
- You are scheduled for elective video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (a minimally invasive lung procedure) for wedge resection, segmentectomy, or lobectomy under general anesthesia
- You are between 8 and 64 years old
- Your overall health status is classified as ASA I–III (your doctor can confirm this)
- You have no chronic pain conditions, mental illness, or current excessive alcohol or drug use
- You have no history of stomach ulcers, gastric bleeding, heart disease, severe kidney or liver problems, or bleeding disorders
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) that cannot be stopped before surgery
