Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- Your blood sugar is not too high (HbA1c under 10% or fasting glucose under 250 mg/dL)
- You do not have diabetes that requires insulin treatment
- You do not have major pancreas diseases (like tumors or cystic fibrosis) or have had pancreas surgery
- You do not have severe anemia, severe liver failure, or certain infections like hepatitis B or C
- You do not drink more than 30 grams of alcohol per day (about 2 drinks) and are not pregnant or breastfeeding
