NAFLDDiabetes MellitusObesity

Part of Digestive system, Hormones & metabolism clinical trials.

This study looks at blood cells and factors in people with metabolic diseases like fatty liver, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes. It aims to better understand these conditions by comparing them with healthy volunteers.

NCT04036357Recruiting
Study of liver fat disease with heart and metabolism problems

This study looks at people with fatty liver disease and common health issues like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol. It may help researchers understand how liver fat and heart/metabolism problems relate and how they affect health over time.

NCT04371042Recruiting
Study of liver disease and genes in people with fatty liver

This study collects information about metabolic and unexplained (cryptogenic) liver disease and looks at “omics” tests, which are lab tests that measure patterns in blood or tissue to learn what drives the disease. It may help researchers better understand fatty liver and related serious complications, like liver scarring and liver cancer.

Study on fat metabolism in obesity and diabetes

This study looks at how fat is processed in the body for people with different health conditions, including obesity and type 2 diabetes. It aims to find new ways to improve treatment by understanding these differences.

NCT06445361Recruiting
Liver fat study in type 1 diabetes

This trial looks at how common fatty liver disease is in people with type 1 diabetes. Doctors will check your liver with tests to learn more and find out if you might be at risk.

Fatty liver study for blood donors with weight concerns

This study collects blood samples from donors with excess weight or related health issues to better understand fatty liver disease. If you are a blood donor between 40 and 65, and have overweight, high blood sugar, abnormal cholesterol, or high blood pressure, you may be able to help.

NCT05430178Recruiting
Study of liver fat changes in kids with fatty liver disease

This study looks at how metabolism works in children and teens who have (or do not have) nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a condition where fat builds up in the liver. Participants may include healthy-weight controls, obese controls without NAFLD, and kids with NAFLD who are already scheduled for a liver biopsy for clinical reasons.
