Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a type of head and neck cancer called squamous cell carcinoma that is locally advanced (T2-4, N0-3, M0) in the mouth or skin of the head and neck.
- You are scheduled for surgery that removes the cancer and uses a free flap (tissue from another body part) for reconstruction.
- You have not had surgery or radiation for advanced head and neck cancer before.
- You are not allergic to Lipiodal or iodine-based contrast dyes.
- You do not have severe asthma, severe kidney problems, or an overactive thyroid.
