Who can take part
- You must have breast cancer that has spread to the lining of the brain or spinal cord, confirmed by MRI or spinal fluid test.
- You need to be well enough to do daily activities (Karnofsky Performance Status score of 60 or higher).
- Your blood counts, kidney function, and liver function must be within certain ranges (your doctor will check these).
- If you could become pregnant or have a partner who could, you must use effective birth control during treatment and for 7 months after.
- You must not have other active cancers (except for certain skin or in-situ cancers that were treated).
- You must not be allergic to any ingredient in the study drug or to related medications like bendamustine or chloramphenicol.
