Who can take part

  • You must be an adult between 18 and 65 years old (for healthy volunteers) or 40 to 79 years old (if you have had a heart event).
  • For healthy volunteers: your body mass index (BMI) must be between 18 and 32, and your weight between 110 and 264 pounds.
  • If you smoke, you must not have used any nicotine products for at least two weeks before the study starts.
  • You should be generally healthy with no major medical issues, and your kidney and liver tests must be within normal limits.
  • If you have had a heart event (acute coronary syndrome), it must have been at least 12 months ago, and you should be on stable heart medications for at least 3 months.
