Who can take part

  • You must be between 6 and 80 years old.
  • Your asthma should be mild or moderate (not severe).
  • You cannot have ischemic heart disease (reduced blood flow to the heart).
  • You cannot have had recent abdominal surgery.
  • You must be able to do a breathing test (pulmonary function test) correctly.
  • You cannot have liver or kidney problems, or be allergic to salbutamol (a common asthma rescue inhaler).
