Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 50 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with autism, depression, or both (or you are a healthy volunteer without these conditions).
  • Your IQ is above 70 and you can take care of yourself.
  • If you have depression, you must not have taken antidepressants for at least one week before the study.
  • You do not have other major mental health conditions like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or ADHD.
  • You do not have metal implants in your head or neck, a pacemaker, or a history of brain surgery.
  • You are not pregnant and do not have severe suicidal thoughts.
  • You are not claustrophobic and can have MRI and PET scans.
