Theta Burst Stimulation for Treatment-Resistant Depression

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 55 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with major depression that hasn't improved after trying at least one antidepressant medication
  • Your depression symptoms are moderate to severe (score of 18 or higher on a standard depression scale)
  • You have kept the same treatment plan (medications, therapy, or both) stable for at least 4 weeks before starting
  • You can understand and speak English well enough to follow study instructions
  • You do not have certain other mental health conditions, recent substance use, pregnancy, or medical implants that would interfere with brain stimulation or imaging
