Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You weigh at least 110 pounds (men) or 99 pounds (women), and your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 32.
- You have normal kidney function (your doctor can check this with a simple blood test).
- If you have liver disease, it must be mild or moderate (Child-Pugh class A or B) and stable for at least 2 months. If you do not have liver disease, you will be matched with someone who does.
- You are willing to use effective birth control and not plan to conceive or donate sperm/eggs for at least 6 months.
- You have not taken certain stomach-acid-reducing drugs (like antacids, Nexium, or Pepcid) or other restricted medications within the past 2 weeks (unless you are on a stable treatment for your liver condition).
