Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with squamous cell cancer of the voice box or lower throat (stage 2 to 4).
- You have had radiation treatment (with or without chemotherapy).
- You now have a local recurrence, radiation damage, or a voice box that doesn't work well.
- You are 18 years or older and can understand and sign a consent form.
- You are not allergic to iodine or shellfish.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and are not in prison.
