Mini-incision vs standard laparoscopy for preventive ovary removal in BRCA

Who can take part

  • You have a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation.
  • You are having prophylactic (preventive) surgery to remove both ovaries and fallopian tubes.
  • You are not having any other surgery done at the same time.
  • Your surgeon will not need to check the tissue during the procedure (no frozen section).
