Robotic tools vs. human-assisted tools in stomach cancer surgery

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed stomach adenocarcinoma (a type of cancer) before surgery.
  • All visible cancer was removed (R0 resection).
  • You are fairly healthy overall (ASA score of 3 or lower, meaning no severe health problems).
  • You are scheduled for a robotic distal gastrectomy (removing the lower part of the stomach).
  • You are 19 years or older.
  • You have not had chemotherapy or radiation before this surgery.
