  • You have been diagnosed with glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSD Ia) through a liver biopsy or genetic test.
  • You are being seen in the Connecticut Children's Emergency Department or admitted to Connecticut Children's hospital while the study is running.
  • If you are a child, your parent or legal guardian must agree to the study and sign a consent form.
  • If you are an adult, you must be able to understand the study and sign a consent form yourself.
  • You do not have other types of glycogen storage disease (like unspecified type or type Ib).
