Who can take part
- You are on hemodialysis and have a narrowed central vein in your chest or neck that doesn't cause symptoms.
- Only the basilic vein (which runs along the inner arm) can be used for a fistula in one arm, and other access points have been used up.
- You are older than 18.
- Your brachial artery (in the upper arm) has normal blood flow, and your basilic vein is wider than 3 mm.
- You have no other blood vessel access options, no blood clots in the arm, and you are healthy enough for surgery.
