- You have a bulging aneurysm (balloon-like spot) on your dialysis fistula.
- You may have skin changes like an ulcer, redness, or dead tissue over the bulge.
- The bulge is so large that there is little or no room left for dialysis needles.
- Your fistula seems at risk of clotting or bursting.
- You are 18 years or older and in reasonably good health (no severe other illnesses).
- The aneurysm is not at the connection point (anastomosis) of your fistula, and you don't have high vein pressure.
