  • You have been diagnosed with multiple system atrophy (MSA) by a doctor using current guidelines.
  • You can walk on your own without help from another person.
  • You are able to swallow and take oral medications.
  • You do not have serious health issues like advanced heart, lung, liver, or kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, or a recent stomach ulcer.
  • You do not have a history of major brain problems like stroke, epilepsy, or severe head injury.
  • You do not have an active viral infection such as HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C.
