Who can take part
- You have a simple cyst on one or both ovaries that is 4 cm or larger and causes symptoms, or has not gone away or has grown
- Your age is between 12 months and 18 years
- You or your parents give permission for the surgery
- The cyst is simple (no solid parts or signs of cancer)
- You do not have a medical condition that makes it risky to remove the cyst (like a severe bleeding problem)
