This trial tests if a school-based program can help parents stop smoking. If you are a parent who smokes at least one cigarette a day and your child is in primary 4 (4th grade), this program may offer support to help you quit.

Who can take part

  • You have a child in primary 4 (4th grade) who lives with you.
  • You smoke at least 1 cigarette every day.
  • You and your child live together full-time.
  • You and your child can understand and agree to take part in the study.
  • You are not currently using other tobacco products, nicotine gum or patches, or struggling with other substance abuse.
  • Neither you nor your child has a serious illness that requires regular hospital stays.
