Who can take part

  • You must have newly diagnosed, high-risk neuroblastoma (a type of nerve cell cancer).
  • You must have tumor cells that can be seen on a scan or in a bone marrow sample.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must agree to use birth control if needed.
  • Most medicines that interfere with the scans (like certain antidepressants or blood pressure drugs) must be stopped temporarily.
  • You cannot have a known allergy to the imaging agents (123I-MIBG or 18F-MFBG).
