This study tests a simple foot exercise called 'short foot exercise' to see if it can reduce knee pain, improve balance, and boost quality of life for people with flexible flatfoot. You may qualify if you have had knee pain for more than 6 weeks and have flat feet that flatten when you stand.

Who can take part

  • You have had knee pain for more than 6 weeks.
  • Your BMI is between 18 and 25 (healthy weight range).
  • You have flexible flatfoot (navicular drop test shows 10 mm or more).
  • Your knee pain is at least a 4 out of 10 on a pain scale.
  • You are generally healthy and have not had knee surgery or recent physical therapy for your knee.
