- You have esophageal squamous cell carcinoma confirmed by biopsy.
- Your cancer is at a specific stage (T1b-3N1-2M0 or T3N0M0) that hasn't spread beyond the chest.
- You are at least 18 years old and able to perform daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1).
- You have not had any previous cancer treatment for this cancer.
- Your major organs (blood, liver, kidneys, clotting) are working normally as shown in blood tests.
- You are able to undergo surgery after the study treatment and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
