Meal replacement for diabetes control trial

This trial tests whether replacing one meal a day with a special shake can help people with type 2 diabetes improve their blood sugar control and overall health. If you have type 2 diabetes, take diabetes pills, and your blood sugar is not well controlled (HbA1c 7–10%), you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 30 to 65 years old.
  • You have type 2 diabetes and take diabetes pills (not insulin).
  • Your recent blood sugar test (HbA1c) in the last 3 months was between 7% and 10%.
  • You agree not to drink any other special shakes, herbal products, or nutritional supplements during the study.
  • You do not have severe diabetes complications (like kidney failure or advanced eye disease).
  • You are not pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or already on a weight loss program or using meal replacement products.
