Who can take part

  • You are a man diagnosed with SBMA, confirmed by genetic testing with 38 or more CAG repeats.
  • You have muscle weakness or wasting in your arms, legs, or face/throat muscles.
  • Your ALS functional rating score is between 24 and 42 (moderate symptoms).
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have no serious heart conditions, low blood pressure, or low potassium.
  • You are not taking certain heart medications, seizure drugs, theophylline, or narcotics.
