Belly-scope vs. vaginal closure after uterus removal

Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Part of Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study compares two ways to close the top of the vagina after a laparoscopic hysterectomy (keyhole removal of the uterus) – one done through small belly incisions and one through the vagina itself. It looks at which method works better for healing and recovery.

Comparing routine versus selective ureter protection during laparoscopic hysterectomy

This trial compares two ways to protect the ureters (tubes that carry urine) during laparoscopic hysterectomy. It tests whether doing a routine dissection of the ureters is better than only doing it when needed, aiming to reduce complications without extra risks.

Tracking long-term results after laparoscopic hysterectomy

This study looks at what happens over time after a woman has a laparoscopic (keyhole) subtotal or total hysterectomy for non-cancer (benign) causes. It may help doctors better understand long-term outcomes and recovery after this surgery.

Compare two ways to remove the uterus through the vagina

This study compares a newer “vaginal NOTES” approach with the standard way of removing the uterus through the vagina. It may help find which method is safer or easier for people who need a hysterectomy for non-cancer (benign) reasons.

NCT05884658Recruiting
Natural-orifice vaginal hysterectomy vs laparoscopic hysterectomy

This trial compares two surgical approaches to remove a large, non-cancerous uterus (hysterectomy): a vaginal “through natural opening” endoscopic method versus the usual laparoscopic approach. It aims to see how these options compare for safety and recovery when the uterus is too large for simpler surgery.
