Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and scheduled for a colonoscopy.
  • You are willing to sign a consent form.
  • You have not had a heart attack in the last 6 months and do not have serious heart, liver, or kidney problems.
  • You are not currently taking blood thinners (like aspirin or warfarin) and do not have a bleeding disorder.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have inflammatory bowel disease, recent intestinal infection, colorectal cancer, or certain inherited polyposis syndromes.
