Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (not caused by another condition)
  • You can stand without help for 1 minute and walk without assistance
  • You are willing to have a small sensor placed on your body while you are in your 'off' state (when your medication has worn off)
  • You score 25 or higher on a memory and thinking test (MMSE)
  • You do not have other neurological problems that affect walking, like essential tremor or thyroid issues
