Electrical stimulation for resting tremors in Parkinson's

Who can take part

  • You are between 45 and 60 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (the most common type) and this was confirmed with an MRI of the brain
  • Your symptoms are mild to moderate, meaning you have a score of 3 or higher on a standard Parkinson's rating scale
  • You have resting tremors in your hand or wrist (shaking when your hand is relaxed)
  • You do not have other conditions that cause similar symptoms, like dystonia (uncontrolled muscle contractions)
  • You have no history of hand trauma, other major neurological problems (like a stroke), or severe vision or learning issues that would make it hard to follow instructions
