Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 23 years old
  • Have a normal body weight (BMI between 18.5 and 24.9)
  • Have a muscle knot (trigger point) in the upper trapezius muscle on one side only
  • No history of whiplash, neck or shoulder surgery, or nerve problems in the neck
  • No cancer, skin disease, pregnancy, or chronic illnesses like rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis
  • Not have had physical therapy in the last 3 months
