Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old and have a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that can be surgically removed.
- Your cancer is at stage IB (tumor at least 4 cm), stage II, or stage IIIB (with involvement of lymph nodes on the same side of the chest).
- You have not had any prior cancer treatment (like chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy) for this cancer.
- Your tumor does not have certain gene changes (EGFR mutations or ALK rearrangement).
- You are generally active and able to care for yourself (performance status 0 or 1).
