Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have obesity (based on your BMI and waist size, using sex and ethnic cutoffs)
- You were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes within the last 6 years
- You are currently taking diabetes medication (other than insulin) and have not recently lost 5 kg or more
- You have a family doctor and an Ontario Health Card, and your doctor agrees to your participation
