Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of acute drug-induced liver injury (liver damage from a medication).
  • Your bilirubin level (a measure of liver function) must be between 5 and 20 times the normal upper limit.
  • You must be between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You cannot have other causes of liver injury, like viral hepatitis, alcohol-related liver disease, or autoimmune disease.
  • You cannot have taken steroids in the past 3 months or need ongoing steroid therapy.
  • You cannot have severe kidney problems, active infections, or certain other serious health conditions.
