Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a known or unknown chronic liver disease (like cirrhosis or fatty liver).
  • Your liver injury must be caused by a medication or supplement, confirmed by a doctor's assessment.
  • The liver injury must be severe, with very high bilirubin (over 12 mg/dL) or a high INR (over 2), or bilirubin over 5 mg/dL with symptoms.
  • You cannot have active infections, active bleeding, severe kidney problems, liver cancer, or be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not be waiting for a liver transplant or have a condition like alcoholic hepatitis.
