Who can take part

  • You must be 65 years old or younger
  • You must have had a clear allergic reaction to one or more legumes (peas, lentils, chickpeas, or beans) within 2 hours of eating them
  • The allergic reaction should involve skin, stomach, breathing, or heart symptoms
  • You must have a positive skin prick test or positive specific IgE blood test for the legume
  • You must be willing to have an oral food challenge (eating the legume in a controlled setting)
