Who can take part

  • You must be at least 12 years old.
  • You must have been on dialysis for at least 3 months.
  • Your dialysis must be working well enough (measured by a standard test).
  • If you are on current phosphate-lowering drugs, your phosphate level must be within a certain range before and after a washout period.
  • You cannot have had or be planning a kidney transplant.
  • You cannot have had recent parathyroid surgery or have severe calcium or parathyroid hormone problems.
  • You cannot have a serious stomach or bowel condition, or have had certain stomach surgeries in the last 3 months.
  • You must not be allergic to any ingredient in AP301 or have a history of severe allergies.
  • You cannot be breastfeeding.
